I noticed a comment on yesterday's "Sarah Palin, Part Two," and I am starting to agree with it. Why is it necessary to have three editorial cartoons bashing and/or criticizing Sarah Palin in the pages of the DEN?
Furthermore, yesterday's pointed out more of what is wrong with the media in general than with Palin's credentials. (Continued…)

Second, using Jesus Christ to denounce her is taking it too far because, a) It portrays him as a political figure, which he wasn't, b) It indicates the views of the cartoonist as being blatantly against the War in Iraq, which is okay to state, BUT the cartoonist appears to believe that Jesus Christ cares about politics to the point that He would call out somebody over a political issue. You guys do realize that these are political cartoons, right? As in satire. Jesus is an easy (maybe even cheap) way of making a cartoon funny. Getting so riled up over a political cartoon is simply retarded. (Continued…)
I know political cartoons are satire, and today I believe the satire was taken too far. I'm not saying DEN should censor the artists, I'm merely stating my opinion that using Jesus Christ in this cartoon has no basis and I believe it is not necessary. (Continued…)
I agree with GSane. Not because I believe in Jesus or even care about Him. But mostly because if it was a cartoon of some Muslim government official and someone drew Mohamed shouting infidel or whatever, there would be screams of horror and protest and the DEN and the University would run out of ink writing apologies to anyone that would listen. Like holy heck the DEN would apologize for it. If they did, I'd reenroll just to join the paper and slap some sense into them, but I can't ever imagine them doing it. (Continued…)
I am voting for Palin, but I think this is a very funny cartoon. I know that she is not perfect but the other person in the cartoon is supposed to be perfect. (Continued…)
