Two DEN reporters got an exclusive look into Doudna Fine Arts Center last week and took some pictures of the building's nearly-completed infrastructure.
Art professors are set to start moving their personal belongings into the new center on May 5.

This thing is such an ugly waste of time and money. How about we spend the time and money on majors that actually matter.

I'd like to point out that the Doudna fine arts building will be housing some of our music education majors - and let's not forget why Eastern was originally founded. (Continued…)

Yes, the architect is renowned, but this building looks like a cold, sterile mess. Dark hallways, plywood walls -- what was he thinking? Another of his campus buildings is called the Death Star -- seems like a fitting name for something so lifeless and inhospitable. (Continued…)

Majors that actually matter?!? What is that? You seriously think that the arts don't matter?
Yes I am a music major and I will be in this building a lot, but I think that people other than just fine arts majors can appreciate this building. (Continued…)

I don't buy the whole argument about majors that don't matter, but as a poli sci/pre-law major, I can say I'm excited to see the building up and running, and even if I will probably never get to take a class in it, I look forward to seeing performances and such there. (Continued…)
