This year's person of the year is Ken Baker. Baker was named interim AD on Aug. 21 and was a referee at this year's Super Bowl. In the video, Baker discusses his reaction to being named interim AD and his family's history at Eastern. (0) comments
This year's female athlete of the year was dual-sport athlete Rachel Galligan. Galligan was Eastern women's basketball leading scorer this past season and led the Panthers to within one win of the NCAA Tournament. She constantly faced double and triple-teams, yet still managed to earn her second straight first-team All-Ohio Valley Conference honor. (0) comments
This year's male athlete of the year was soccer player Mick Galeski. Galeski lead the league this past season with 12 assists and had a total of 28 points for the Panthers; Galeski also scored eight goals. Some of his accolades in the 2007 season include NSCAA Second Team All-Midwest Region, UMKC Invitational All-Tournament Team, and TopDrawerSoccer. (0) comments
On Monday, construction on Fourth St. is going to begin. The first phase of the project will begin on Polk Ave. and extend to Harrison Ave. The phase is estimated to be complete by July 15. The second phase of construction will begin after the first phase is completed. (0) comments
