Campus Briefs: Last day for Textbook Rental sale

Today is the last day students can purchase discarded textbooks.

The sale, which started Monday, will feature a "Friday Special" that allows students to get a $5 discount for every box of textbooks they purchase.

The sale is being conducted on the sidewalk near Textbook Rental.

Students can also return their textbooks to Textbook Rental any time during the semester. The final deadline to return Spring 2008 textbooks is 3 p.m. May 2.

Live music, local art featured at SACIS event

The Sexual Assault Counseling and Information Service is hosting "Unmasking Sexual Violence: A Night to End Violence Against Women" from 5-9 p.m. today at Jackson Avenue Coffee.

SACIS, which is celebrating its 30th year of service, will have live music and a silent auction, featuring masks made by local artists, as a part of the event. The event will also include an open mic segment.

Pink Panther auditions begin today

Students interested in dancing for the Pink Panther Dance team can audition today in Lantz Arena.

Registration will start at 5 p.m. in the main hallway of Lantz. Auditions will continue through Saturday.

Any students with jazz, lyrical, kick and hip-hop dance experience are encouraged to audition.
