Campus Briefs: The Agency to help with acquiring organ donors

The Agency is participating in the Donate Life Illinois Campaign's "Drive for 3.5" from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. today in the south quad.

The "Drive for 3.5" campaign is a statewide effort to reach the goal of 3.5 million organ donor registrations before the end of April, which is National Donate Life Month.

Currently, 3.2 million Illinois citizens are organ donors.

The Agency, a student-run public relations firm, and members of Donate Life Illinois will be at the south quad to spread the word about becoming a donor.




Event aimed to put an end to violence against women Friday

The Sexual Assault Counseling and Information Service is hosting "Unmasking Sexual Violence: A Night to End Violence Against Women" from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Jackson Avenue Coffee.

SACIS, which is celebrated its 30th year of service, will have live music and a silent auction - featuring masks made by local artists - as a part of the event. The event will also include an open mic segment.

March for safer sex a part of Pride Week

EIU Pride is sponsoring a march titled, "Reclaim Your Intimacy: March for Safer Sex and Abstinence" from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the pond pavilion.

Donations will be accepted and proceeds will go to the American Social Health Organization.




Opt to return your textbooks early

Students can return textbooks to Textbook Rental any time during the semester. The final deadline to return Spring 2008 textbooks is 3 p.m. May 2.
