Greek Life is still with out a director. Bob Dudolski was removed as Director of Greek Life on March 20. In early April, Dudolski offered his resignation to the university. His last day was April 11. Despite not having a Director of Greek Life, students think the transition after Dudolski has gone well. (0) comments

The Agency is participating in the Donate Life Illinois Campaign's "Drive for 3.5" from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. today in the south quad. The "Drive for 3.5" campaign is a statewide effort to reach the goal of 3.5 million organ donor registrations before the end of April, which is National Donate Life Month. (0) comments

City, county work together for future park

The Coles County Board tabled an agreement at its April 8 meeting that would turn a small portion of county land, located at Sixth Street and Madison Avenue, into a small park. Curt Devore, the city superintendent of parks and facility maintenance, said the agreement would have the city and county split all future maintenance by half. (0) comments

The woman who reported a man attempted to kidnap her on March 27 now says the description she gave may not be accurate, said Detective Lt. Bryan Baker of the Charleston Police Department. "The investigation led to speaking to her again," he said. "During the interview she said she could not identify the attacker other than he was a male. (0) comments

An "f-word" was given a new meaning during last night's "Fear of Feminism Forum" at the Seventh Street Underground. For an hour, a panel of feminists took questions and confronted stereotypes about feminism. The goal of the night was to eliminate these stereotypes and open everyone's eyes to the struggle that still exists today. (0) comments

Wife of former Illinois Gov. Jim Edgar, Brenda Edgar, will speak at 7 p.m. tonight in the Buzzard Hall Auditorium. Edgar will present "Her-story on His-story: Conversations with Brenda Edgar." The speech is a part of the Edgar Speaker Series that was funded by Jim and Brenda Edgar. (0) comments

Lee Martin's new book deals with a dark secret. Martin, an award-winning author and Eastern alumnus, will be reading excerpts from his new novel, "River of Heaven," at 4 p.m. today at the Tarble Arts Center. Election ends in split results

Levi Bulgar is the student body president-elect. Bulgar, representing the Students United Party, won the election for student body president by 103 votes. Eric Hiltner, representing the United Party of Students, came in second with 251 votes. Bobbie Mitchell, from the Students Wanting Action Today party, came in third with 228 votes. (18) comments
