It's beautiful outside; the frisbees, picnics and beach balls are calling. While it's tempting for students to answer by filling their summer with nothing but relaxation, they need to zoom back to reality. Classes need to be taken seriously, and if students don't start taking them seriously now-at the beginning of the semester-when will they? Students need to realize summer classes are more intensive, because a semester's worth of information has to be crammed into a four-, six-, or eight-week section. (1) comment
Aggressive, violent, mean, attacker, biter, fighter. These are just a few of the words that many people use to describe a pit bull. Some people think a pit bull is not a dog that should be brought into a home, especially one with children and other dogs. Certain county animal control facilities will not adopt out pit bulls. PAWS: I believe the art on campus should stay up for more than two years. Maybe some of it should stay up until it falls apart. Of course, if the artist chooses to have it removed at his or her own expense, that's fine too. These pieces of art are part of the Eastern Illinois University Summer Sculpture Residency Program.
