Weekend will come alive with Disney

The Residence Hall Association finalized plans for Siblings' Weekend 2009 at Thursday night's meeting at Ford Hall. The "Wonderful World of Disney" is the theme this year as various residence halls participate and provide a weekend full of activities for students and their siblings. (0) comments

Discovery Room closes for family

The shelves of the Discovery Room gift shop at 325 Monroe Ave. are jammed with crafts, books, cakes and specialty coffees. But lately, the three-year-old shop's most striking feature is outside its walls: A white sign advertising its going-out-of-business sale. (0) comments

David Mulholland has suffered from traumatic brain injury ever since Aug. 27, 1993, the year he was in an automobile accident. "A part of me died that day," Mulholland said. The Eastern women's basketball team was stunned by fifth-seeded Austin Peay 69-65 in double overtime Saturday afternoon in the championship game of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament at the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tenn. The loss ended Eastern's season one game short of an NCAA Tournament bid for the second consecutive year. (2) comments
