Student Community Service is partnering with One Campus, One Community, to bring the Christmas spirit to everyone in need with a campus toy drive to benefit local children and families. The U.S. Department of Education has proposed legislation that would reduce that to two pages and 27 questions. The Council on Academic Affairs will decide the fate of proposed changes to Eastern's foreign language requirement at its meeting today. Last spring, CAA voted to increase the number of foreign language courses students must take to graduate. The requirement increased the number of semesters from two to three. (0) comments
Extending library hours at Eastern is still in the works. The Academic Affairs Committee from Student Senate went to Faculty Senate and the Library Advisory Board at first to get their input, said Chris Kromphardt, chair of the Academic Affairs Committee.
