The Board of Trustees unanimously approved the construction for a new Textbook Rental facility at its Nov. 21 meeting. After the meeting, the university held a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of the new facility, off Edgar Drive near Greek Court. President Bill Perry said availability of funds and interest rates are two factors contributing to the Renewable Energy Center being put on hold. He said the credit market has tightened up considerably, affecting the affordability of the center. "It's been within just the past few weeks that the credit market's changed dramatically," he said.
