The Eastern women's soccer team played with a one-player advantage for 66 minutes in its season opener against Indiana State on Friday, but the Panthers fell to the Sycamores 1-0 in overtime. "It's a frustrating way to lose a game," Eastern head coach Tim Nowak said, whose team was given a player advantage in the first half when Sycamores senior defender Alyssa Ramsey was issued a red card in the 24th minute of the game. And for the first time, the College Football Officials board of managers will handle rules in college football. Jim Jackson, coordinator of football officials for the Ohio Valley Conference, said the 13-committee board consisting of 11 Football Bowl Subdivision committees and two Football Championship Subdivision committees was created in an attempt to standardize rules on all levels of college football. Eastern Kentucky was a close second, and Eastern Illinois - not far behind - rounded out the top three.
