Column: I'm getting annoyed: Part One

Abstract:
It is a well-known fact amongst those who know me personally that I'm not the most personable individual. I'm an established grump; many things annoy me. That being said, I have decided to air some of my gripes right here, to you, the reader, in the hopes that at least someone out there feels the same as me....

Seventy-five decibels? Hello? Try 120. You no longer can hear it; you feel it through the sidewalk.

Hi, I'm William Randolph Hearst. In order to increase profits for my newspapers, I instigated the Spanish-American War and ushered in an age of American imperialism. That's right, I profited off the lives of thousands, both American and otherwise.

That being said, this is the worst article in the history of journalism.

If this is signatory of your work as a SENIOR journalism major, then you should probably think of doing something else you think you're good at for the rest of your life. Because let's face it: Just because you think you're God doesn't mean employers will.

Besides, the 20-some-odd square inches that you wasted with your article today could have been used to, I don't know, sell candy or something. Doesn't really matter, because anything would have been more economical and beneficial to the human race than your juvenile musings.

Really looking forward to Part Two!

Pff This is the best article I've read yet, there will always be someone angry at someone who tells it like it is, in this case it is probably a bunch of whiney Jason Mraz fans, this is America where we have a right to freedom and complaining lol, this article is humorous which is what we need around here, if someone doesn't like it then exercise your right to write to or for the paper and hey if you want to write about candy Mr. Hearst lol then by all means but beware you might usher a war with weight watchers lol

Are you kidding me? You have a position that allows you to publish your thoughts and ideas for the whole campus to read and you choose to go on a rant about the petty little things that annoy you?

Your obligation as a journalist is to inform and serve the community. Spitting out negative energy and asking others to join in is a disservice to this university. Ask yourself before you write: what good will come of this article?

I would like to read more articles that call for progressive action and cover important day-to-day issues.

Complaining about not having money and people playing their rock n' roll too loud is something I expect an old, grumpy man to do. Grow up... or rather, grow down and lighten up, kid.

I respect that you are willing to be open about things that probably annoy many of us on campus, but this is a useless article. It's not funny at all. What is the purpose of this? It wasn't entertaining, funny, informative, or thought provoking. Quit whining and add humor or SOMETHING other than jabs at your pet peeves in life.

Get a girlfriend or a hobby. Seriously.

I beg to differ, i thought this article was hilarious, especially bright and early in the morning when i'm sitting in class, i would much rather have funny in the morning than typical news drab, i agree we need some good solid progressive action type of articles to read but they usually cover that elsewhere in the newspaper, this is a column not a news article, again i'm sure a certain group is slightly offended but hey laughter is good for everybody, if i was one of those quad guitar players i'd laugh that a column was written about me and then i would play louder next time lol

This was beyond boring.

R - you wrote this article didn't you? Quit patting yourself on the back. You suck worse than the DEN.

Effort. You clearly hate it because you put none into making this column entertaining, enlightening or educational.

Maybe your next pet peeve should be words that start with "e."

ahh jason mraz fans disappointed :(, no I, or R am not David Thill, I believe it is against policy anyways to post if you write the column or work for the paper, and I don't so I say to you all boo hoo lol, it's funny how everyone spends the time complaining over something they supposedly can't stand, who is the fool here?

You're the fool, judging by your terrible grammar and punctuation.

I agree with a lot of the issues that you've brought up, but we are all individuals. Noone is the same. It seems like instead of enjoying life being who you are, you are letting everyone else get to you. Don't worry so much about other people because you aren't going to change them by writing this article. Instead, may I suggest using your pent up anger toward these people and doing something productive that makes you happy. If that's writing this article than so be it, but I don't believe that it will help you with these issues.
