Good luck! Our son was one of the few of his classmates fortunate to have a job (in his major) right after graduating college last year. Since then, hiring has been few and far between for many of his friends.

As for where I work, after more than 500 people were layed off last year, the only "non-IT" hiring we seem to be doing is in the Philippines or India, where the entry-level pay for college graduates is $8,000-$12,000/year (including benefits). While I understand the economics of this practice, I personally struggle with it. But, until the US tax loopholes are closed, companies will contine to search the world for the cheapest labor available.
