So who won VP of Student Affairs? And who won VP of Academic Affairs?
Apparently reporting the two SUP members who lost is much more important to the DEN than who actually won.
Bring back Kambic, and maybe we'll have quality reporting again.

I just have one question: how many of you posting these comments on here are disgruntled people who do (or did) work for the DEN? I can pull a few comments out of here that I guarantee are.
1. John Q. Student said, "Bring back Kambic, and maybe we'll have quality reporting again."
I would be willing to bet this is one of Rick's friends or, gasp, Rick himself.
2. JH said, "Well it's the news editor who wrote it so that explains why some of the other writers cant report things right either."
Maybe you aren't a DEN person, or even an intelligent one for that matter, because the news editor is not responsible for the facts some young reporters aren't fully ready yet. If anything, this blame falls to the department, but I wouldn't even dare to put blame on the wonderful faculty in the Journalism department. It's more a thing of inexperience, hence the whole college paper idea.
3. Den is a Joke said, "Listen these people are right, the DEN is a joke, it is full of a bunch of clique people who could care less about the paper, a perfect example is the new politics journalist, Nora Mayberry, she has no political experience but she is the editor's boyfriend so that makes her qualified in the DEN's eye. As the DEN's slogan says "Tell the Truth" and that is the truth my friends."
This one's the kicker because how would any general member of the student body know about cliques at the DEN? And as the point has been made many times, what do relationships matter in this sense? Are you telling me no two people at UB or on Student Government are dating? I find it hard to believe.
But at least we can all rest assured there's one sensible person on here. Sick of These Kind of Comments hit the nail on the head. Before people criticize the DEN, check out other college papers or small community papers. Many weekly and semi-weekly papers even fail in comparison to the DEN, and those people are working full time to put out one paper a week. Going to school, working at the DEN and having a social life becomes hard. Try it sometime. It's not as easy as you may think.
And don't worry, the DEN has an open door policy for people wanting to try out writing. So it doesn't matter if you're not a journalism major, they'll still let you try.

Well, let's hope he can lead better than he has shown he is able to.
