wow... nearly 30 thousand dollar for a 2-hour lecture from who?... Bill Nye WTF?!?! sure, granted it will be amusing for the 1,000 of the 12,000 student that will actually get to see this mad scientist.
It seems utterly insane to spend this much hooch on a "lecture". Just think of all the other really cool stuff the UB COULD do with this money but won't.

We deserve a variety of entertainment and not just a name that is familiar.

Thanks UB!

UB absolutely blows at getting anyone worth note to come to this school. Get ready for the big 311 show in the Spring!!! I guess that's better than Steppenwolf or some other washed up crap they might get otherwise

well, its interesting that your all bitching, because UB has a very hard job of trying to balance their budget, which i as a AB member watch over, and bring in quality entertainment, and i will say this they have improved seriously this year over last year, the reason we cant get big names down here unlike UofIllinois, is because UB works with several tens of thousands of dollars whereas the UofI works with alot more, so considering their budget they do tend to do a decent job of bringing people here
